Confirming Our Faith

The confirmation program is designed to make certain the faith that we, as a church family, hope to pass on to our students. We designate the 8th grade school year, from October to April, to focus on the basics of the faith and to encourage personal development.

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

Events in which our confirmands participate throughout the year include:

• Sunday Consecration Service - families will come to the front of the sanctuary for recognition and blessing.
• Mid-week house groups
• Service projects
• Mini-Mission Trips
• S.O.A.P. (Significant Other Adult Person) Meetings
• Fall & Spring Retreats
• Spiritual journals
• Home Huddles - family devotion sheets that are encouraged to be completed with families.
• One-on-One Meeting with the Youth Minister
• Session approval
• Confirmation Dinner
• Confirmation Sunday - includes devotion, breakfast and pictures.
